Looking for a motivated Customs Clearing Coordinator from Sea Freight environment and great customer service. Someone who is clued up about incoterms, and full understanding of import rules and regulations.Someone who takes accountability, excellent customer service, and fast learner.
To ensure the seamless, timeous and cost effective delivery of orders in line with client delivery requirements and expectations. Ensuring that Order Tracking, Booking Management, Shipment Tracking, Clearance, Delivery Tracking and Costing Preparation process runs smooth and ensure continuous feedback to all the stakeholders involve is given.

Responsibilities:
- Involved with all imported goods received into the country of destination
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is complete and legally acceptable to Customs to allow clearance and entry into the country
- Obtain charges and cargo release details from freight forwarding agents and shipping lines
- Responsible for ensuring any payments due are made in advance of any shipment as required
- Process all payments and raise necessary paperwork for accounting purposes
- Arrange the release and transportation of goods received to cargo importers
- Liaises daily with external agents and clients to ensure the smooth and efficient discharge of their duties
- Customs clearing
- Invoicing
- Status reporting, document organisation and attention to detail

Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- Must have driver’s license
- 3- 5-year experience in freight forwarding – mainly import sea freight
- Working knowledge of South African Customs Legislation
- Good understanding of import documentation requirements
- Excellent understanding of Incoterms, Import Rules and Regulations
- Relevant tertiary qualification related to logistics advantageous
