Tax – Tax Management Consulting – Data Analytics – Senior Consultant/Assistant Manager

About the Job
We are looking for the person who is best able to fulfill the following job requirements:
• Key focus of the role is to deliver engagements with a primary focus on tax data analytics.
• Write programs to import, manipulate and analyse data.
• Must be able to track down and analyse program exceptions.
• Generate reports on findings from analysis process.
• Interface with clients to request data and specify data formats.
About You
We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications:
• BCom (Accounting)
• A programming background is a prerequisite preferably in a business or IT related field
You would need to have the following Experience and Technical Competencies:
• Ideally 2 years’ experience in programming and/or data analysis.
• Exposure to a consulting environment would be an advantage.
• Exposure to SAS would be an advantage.
• Have an understanding of relational databases.
• Good analytical and quantitative skills.
• Be able to analyse relationships between data.
• Experience with SAS, Qlikview, SQL, SAP, C++, VB queries would be advantageous.
• Be proficient in Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint.
• Have a good programming background.
• Have good problem solving skills.
• Good written and oral communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
• Independent, self-motivated, proactive and a team player.
• Ability to pay attention to detail.
• Must be able to adhere to strict deadlines and work on different projects simultaneously.
• Good interpersonal skills.
You would need to have the following Behavioural Competencies:
• Grow to be an in-house data analytics specialist within the Tax Business Unit.
• Work closely with the various Tax service lines and wider company teams to develop tax analytic solutions.
• Exciting and dynamic environment.
• Stimulating environment and excellent learning opportunities.
• Career growth and development opportunities.
