Qualifications and Experience
o Matric
o A+ & N+ or equivalent are beneficial
o LAN cabling experience (Copper, Coax and PSTN)
o Fiber cabling experience (Single and Multi-mode)
o Knowledge of Data Centre environment, and utility designs
o 3 Years’ Experience including:
o Infrastructure Hosting
o Infrastructure Systems
o Utilities
o Structured cabling design and deployments
o All topics related to Data Centre Environments
o Installation, termination and testing of most types of cable (fibre and copper a must)


Other
o Must have own transport
o Must have a mobile phone that can be reached 24 hours a day
o Call Centre / Customer Service experience – min 2 years
o LAN cabling experience
o Fiber knowledge / CFOT
o Knowledge of Data center environment, and utility designs
o Full understanding of UTP / Fiber, Coax and PSTN cabling
o Full testing and recording of tests per cable system
o Physical installation of cable types
o Termination of cable types
o Labeling of cable types according to Teraco requirements
o Making of looms and routing of cable types
o Other general task which may be required
o Electrical circuit wiring, terminations and testing
o Understanding of basic power distribution systems.
o Installation, configuration and testing of rack based power distribution systems
