A Healthcare providing Clinical Care to HIV positive adults, children and adolescents is currently looking for a dynamic and driven Data Manager to be based in Klerksdorp in the North West.

The main purpose of this position is to identify gaps and discrepancies in the programmatic, DHIS and Tier.Net data at facilities and sub district levels and to support the adolescent district teams in implementing solutions. Conduct baseline site assessments, develop feedback reports and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented data quality solutions.

Education, Training and Experience
• Degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Statistics or equivalent
• Certification in data analysis programmes (STATA, SAS, SQL or Access)
• Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in managing M&E systems.
• Experience in clinical research or a public health environment (MUST HAVE)
• Certification in good clinical practice
• Ability to work under pressure and high attention to detail
• Valid South African driver’s license

Key performance areas
• Provide technical input into database design, analysis and interpretation of data.
• Develop and implement data management work plans and solutions.
• Develop, implement and maintain all data related SOPs.
• Review monthly sub district and programmatic data (Facility treatment data, DHIS, Tier.Net)
• Quality assures all data in accordance with ethical and GCP requirements and SOPs
• Compile monthly/quarterly/annual progress reports as required.
• Coach and train other members of the team to ensure the acquisition of knowledge and skills required by the organisation.
