PBT Group has an opportunity for a Data Modeller with extensive data modelling experience on a data modelling tool preferably power designer but will look at ERWIN, Rational Data Architect and Embarcadero. Must understand Referential Integrity and worked on Data Warehouses projects.

Duties:
- Identify, source and mine data from primary and secondary sources
- Model data into meaningful information
- Clean and prune data to increase information usefulness
- Analyse and interpret data
- Create governed extract, load and transform jobs to move data
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in ETL jobs
- Assist with provisioning data for reporting and visualisation
- Design, create and maintain database structures for analysis
- Perform data profiling and data quality assessment
- Assist with the business glossary and ETL documentation

Experience:
- Functional modelling – using organisation context to provide meaning
- Understand visualisation to explain complex technical ideas and methods
- Navigation of different databases and querying languages
- Data Modelling techniques and methods and methods – Relational, Star, No-SQL
- Understanding of data warehousing, ETL, frameworks and database design

Qualifications/ Certification:
- A degree in Computer Science / Information Systems / Business Administration / Commerce or equivalent
