Our client is looking for a dynamic candidate to manage the internal and external movement of data within the organization. A high priority is to understand all the organisationâ??s data types so that strategic advice can be presented to the business to ensure business objectives are met to provide technical data solutions to meet the business strategic objectives for all internal departments.

KPA's:

  • Manage and mentor the Operational Data Team
    • Mange the technical career path of direct reports
    • Manage and maintain the following key stakeholder relationships:
      • Contact Centre
      • Business Unit Managers
      • Dialler Managers
      • Distribution Operations team
      • Software Development  team
      • Data Analytics team
      • DBA and Data Warehouse team

•Business Data Management:

o Managing Customer Data

o Insuring Accuracy and Data Integrity

  • Lead Data:
    • Centralised Data Structure for the Optimal Management of the Lead Database ensuring constant enrichment of the data
    •  Ensure the meeting of the Call Centre Objectives around the provision of quality Data sets for the Sales Campaigns

•          Ensure Compliance of campaigns’ dialling rule

•           Management of large data sources including Customer Behavioural, Credit, Contact and Demographic databases

  • Providing a technical solution so users can understand the data available for each campaign at any time
  • Providing a technical solution so users can select their own dataset which on approval will be sent to the user
  • Implement and maintain a reporting platform to monitor  quantity and quality of campaign data

•       With the assistance of the Data Analytics team, use technical expertise  to cull data through advanced computerized models; This technical process is heavily influenced by mathematics and advanced algorithms and is broken up into four general steps

o                “Data Cleaning” roots out erroneous data (including DMA submissions);

o                “Initial Analysis” assesses the quality of the data

o                “Main Data Analysis” determines the meaning of the data

o                “Final Analysis” provides additional screening.

  • Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing customer requests.
  • Defining and advising datasets for various Sales Campaigns eg. Utilise blending and optimisation techniques to ensure the provision of quality data to the Contact Centre.
  • Documentation of requirements and solutions will be required for all new internal requirements.
  • Meet SLA’s for external and internal data submission
  • Enforce data security and audit policies as required

 

4.    Performance

 

Participate as an active member of the team responsible for the long-term plans and budgets, translating strategy into action for the company.

•             Manage staff in the operational data department:

o                Assign, monitor and co-ordinate assignments and projects

o                Provide technical, procedural and policy guidance

o                Recruit staff for the relevant department

o                Evaluate Performance (conduct performance appraisals)

o                Career development of Direct Reports (counselling, coaching, identify KPA’s, career planning and goal setting)

o                Determine Training needs and identify suitable training courses for direct reports

•          Manage the Budget. Estimate the future personnel and equipment needs of the department

REQUIREMENTS:

Other important skills and experience include:

  • Ability to work with big data
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Solid understanding of database design principles
    • Exceptionally strong programming skills in SQL (preferably MS SQL)
    • Advanced Excel
    • MS SQL SSIS experience will be beneficial
    • Understanding of predictive analytics methods and software will be viewed favourably

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • IT related Degree or Diploma is a pre-requisite
  • MSCA or MSCE (data) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a database or analytical environment. Current or previous leadership experience is essential.  Current or previous contact centre experience is necessary.
