Database Administrator
Salary: R25 000 – R40 000

This opportunity allows you to be involved with high transaction throughput software platforms that generates large data volumes with high performance requirements.
You will be will exposed to a leading-edge team, interesting work, challenges and loads of room for growth and development.

Requirements:

• Writing SQL procedures
• Applied experience in performing database monitoring and tuning of an SQL compliant database
• Experience with Unix / Linux environment – including shell scripting

Responsibilities:

• 24/7 support of production database services
• 50% admin , 30% report writing, 10% Data Analyses
• Reporting and tuning of MySQL databases
• Writing queries
• Required to deal with complex data models while producing complex reports
