Description:

Key Performance Areas include:

Interpret and compile technical design documentation,
Develop Database Views, Functions, User Defined Types, Stored Procedures in line with Business requirements,
Develop SQL Server Reporting Models,
Develop Complex Reporting and Data Extract Requirements,
Development of Advanced ETL processes via SQL Server Integration Services,,
Data Consolidation and Integration,
Systems Analysis, Impact Analysis and Design of Solutions
Code Reviews
Produce system documentation for any changes or new developments,
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues,
Understanding of common ETL design techniques such as change data capture, key generation and optimization,
Data quality, data profiling, metadata management and master data management

Education, Skills and Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience in Microsoft SQL Server,

Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist Certification – MCTS Development

Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional – MCITP Development

Full in-depth technical understanding and experience of the below versions of Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server

MSSQL 2005 + Server 2003

MSSQL 2008 / R2 + Server 2008

SSRS 2005 / 2008

SSIS 2005 / 2008

SSAS 2005 / 2008
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Windows Server will include but not be limited to the below:

Windows and SQL Server Instance, Database security in-line with Microsoft best practices,

SQL Server Database and query performance tuning and optimization,

A Full in-depth understanding of all Microsoft SQL Server dependent technologies and associated features,

Full understanding and the ability to write code in Transact SQL

Full understanding of XML, XSD and HTML

Understanding of OLTP normalization and OLAP de-normalization

Documentation and Version Control
