The client is a statutory body that operates outside the public service, but within the public administration, as envisaged in section 195 of the Constitution.

Key Performance Areas include:

• Interpret and compile technical design documentation
• Develop Database Views, Functions, User Defined Types, Stored Procedures in line with Business requirements
• Develop SQL Server Reporting Models
• Develop Complex Reporting and Data Extract Requirements
• Development of Advanced ETL processes via SQL Server Integration Services
• Data Consolidation and Integration
• Systems Analysis, Impact Analysis, and Design of Solutions
• Code Reviews
• Produce system documentation for any changes or new developments
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues
• Understanding of common ETL design techniques such as change data capture, key generation, and optimization
• Data quality, data profiling, metadata management and master data management

Education, Skills, and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist Certification – MCTS Development
• Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional – MCITP Development
• Full in-depth technical understanding and experience of the below versions of Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Server
• MSSQL 2005 + Server 2003
• MSSQL 2008 / R2 + Server 2008
• SSRS 2005 / 2008
• SSIS 2005 / 2008
• SSAS 2005 / 2008

• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Windows Server will include but not be limited to the below:
• Windows and SQL Server Instance, Database security in-line with Microsoft best practices
• SQL Server Database and query performance tuning and optimization
• A Full in-depth understanding of all Microsoft SQL Server dependent technologies and associated features
• Full understanding and the ability to write code in Transact-SQL
• Full understanding of XML, XSD, and HTML
• Understanding of OLTP normalization and OLAP de-normalization
• Documentation and Version Control
