About the role
You will be playing a vital role in the decisions of future data architecture and technology. The primary focus of this position is to lead a team of Database administrators, WebLogic server administrators and continuous integration developers.  You will need to form relationships on different levels and be helpful and supportive to your team, developers and fellow leaders.

Responsibilities
¥ Leading a team of database administrators, WebLogic server administrators and continuous integration developers. This involves being available 24/7 to assist the team
¥ Lead the design and implementation of database, application server and continuous integration architecture
¥ Guide technical investigations for new databases, application servers and continuous integration technologies
¥ Carry out continuous investigations into improving the database, application server and continuous integration environments
¥ Assist with the installation, configuration and upgrade of databases
¥ Assist the team, with help from a partner, for the installation, configuration and upgrade of the application server and continuous integration environments
¥ Ensure that proper monitoring and maintenance is in place on all databases, application servers and continuous integration environments
¥ Ensure that backup and recovery plans and procedures are implemented and tested regularly on all databases, application servers and continuous integration environments
¥ Ensure that security is implemented and maintained on databases, application servers and continuous integration environments
¥ Ensure that standards are documented and maintained on databases, application servers and continuous integration environments
¥ Ensure change control is in place for databases, application servers and continuous integration environments
¥ Assist team and developers with performance tuning on databases and application servers
¥ Support team, developers and fellow leaders with any database and application server related requests or incidents
¥ Capacity planning on databases, application servers and continuous integration environments
¥ Contact with vendors and partners for technical support
¥ License audits
