DBA/ Data Analyst required urgently for reputable Company based in Sandton

Duties

• Responsible for data design, modelling, database architecture, metadata and repository creation.
• Assists in the development, maintenance and support of an enterprise database systems and corresponding data marts.
• Responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring, capacity planning and maintenance of complex enterprise database environments.
• Provides technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis.
• Performs ongoing tuning of database instances. Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Works with management to develop database strategies to support company needs.
• Consults with and advises users on access to various databases.
• Works directly with users to resolve data conflicts and inappropriate data usage. 
• Codes database descriptions and specifies identifiers of database to database management system or directs others in coding database descriptions

Qualification:

• Computer Science / Information Systems (or equivalent) degree an advantage
• Leadership Pipeline requirements
• Microsoft SQL certification – MSCA (Database administration, SQL Server, Database development)
