Position: Debtor’s clerk (ASAP)
Area: Strand
Type: Permanent position
Salary: R8000 – R10 000 p/m neg p/m neg on experience

Qualifications and requirements
? Completed Grade 12
? Preferable: suitable financial qualification
? Must have 4 years’ debtors experience
? Must have Sage Pastel Evolution or Partner experience
? Must have intermediate to advanced Excel, Outlook and Word Strong interpersonal and communication skills (especially telephone skills)
? Ability to learn and apply new skills quick and effective
? Ability to perform well under pressure and multi-task
? Excellent Time Management/ A high sense of urgency
? Reliable self-starter and able to work independently
? Experience with Credit Guarantee Insurance Corporation will be beneficial

Job Knowledge
? Must have a proven financial, business processes and systems understanding
? Sound knowledge of administrative processes
Duties
? Collect outstanding debts & manage overdue accounts
? Follow-up of debtors Accounts according to Age Analysis and PTP’s
? Resolving queries related to debtors accounts immediately
? Distribution of statements, invoices & pod’s as required by debtors
? Check Daily Cash Ups & identify payments for processing & correct allocations
? Manage customer databases & filing systems
? Reconcile Customer Accounts
? Liaise with sales team
? General support to the finance department, as needed
? Relieving Cashier/Receptionist
? Reporting on a weekly basis on debtor status
? Contact customers prior to month-end to confirm outstanding amounts and payment dates in order to assist with cash flow forecast
? Completing all year-end reconciliations and requirements timeously
? Assist with requirements for year-end audit
