Our client in Paarl is looking for an experienced, hard-working and efficient Debtors Clerk.

The successful candidate must have:

8-10 years experience as a Debtors Clerk.
Bookkeeping, credit control or similar qualification
Excellent computer skills – experienced on Excel and ERP system
A quick learner, who is dedicated and enjoys credit control
Organised, neat and pays attention to detail
Able to cope under pressure and respond quickly to customer requests
A professional manner, with excellent communication skills and telephonic skills,
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Presentable and confident to visit corporate customers to address account queries
Flexible and willing to work longer hours if required

The primary tasks include:

Check bank statements and do age analyses
Process and settle payments
Follow up on overdue payments
Process cash sales and settle
Do credit checks on new credit applications
Process invoices and send statements
Debtors account maintenance and settle unallocated payments
Journals
Communicate on a daily basis with customers
Liaise with attorneys

Salary: R14 000 -R16 000 depending on experience
