Main purpose of the role
This small food production business was born from a dream, founded on love and the family’s hard work. Their award winning, artisanal produce is distributed daily to some of the country’s top restaurants and through their Deli on site.
The owners are on the search for someone who can share their vision, is looking to grow with and become an integral part of their concern.

What do I need?
• Matric or equivalent
• A qualification or studying towards a qualification will be advantageous
• 2-3 years similar working experience, preferably in the food manufacturing / production industry
• Strong Sage Pastel experience
• Ability to work independently and autonomously
• Ability to work fast and to be able to respond to changing priorities at short notice

What will I doing?
1. Capturing debtors and creditors and data capturing on Sage PASTEL
2. Recon all relevant paperwork ready for the Accountant (monthly)
3. Processing all PAYE and VAT
4. Maintain client accounts for list of assigned clients
• Updating client files – e-mail addresses, contact persons, numbers etc.
• Ensure account is correct before sending statements
• Resolve customer queries timeously.
• Engage with customers, the owners and finance administrator (Ntosh’s role?)
• Sending copies of invoices, credits, statements
• Sorting out of accounts in arrears or incorrect cash allocations
5. Allocate receipts on a timely basis
• Following up with clients regarding payment
• Following up regarding remittance advises for unallocated receipts
• Processing of all cash received into bank account on daily basis (make sure bank up to date)
• Allocate payments on receipt of remittance advices timeously
• Identify potential credit notes that will be required and flag these with the owner
6. Take ultimate responsibility for customer related actions / issues / problems until they are resolved.

Additional:
• Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 07h00 – 16h00, with a 45 minute break
