Supply and Demand Planner (Johannesburg East) – Long Term Contract

Leading chemicals and pharmaceuticals company is seeking an experienced planner for a 2 year contract opportunity at their head office.

You will manage accurate and responsive forecasting and precise scheduling of premixes in the plant, and analyse forecast exceptions and makes appropriate adjustments to facilitate proper reordering and replenishment.

Additionally, you will ensures proper order management, taking into consideration vendor lead times and in transit inventory, and you will actively manage daily production scheduling and release process to ensure appropriate volumes and frequency of orders are met

You will meet the following minimum requirements/criteria:
• Diploma in Supply Chain Management
• CPIM highly preferable
• 5+ years track record of experience in a planner role within a Pharmaceutical/Chemicals Manufacturing environment (non negotiable)
• In depth understanding of forecasting techniques and inputs to make recommendations for improvements in overall forecast.
• Must have knowledge of raw materials, packaging materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture, packaging and distribution of goods

You will have strong multitasking and organisational skills and be able to work autonomously. You will need to be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal and team-working skills.

Location: Successful incumbent will ideally be based in Johannesburg East, Gauteng

This role is for a two year fixed term contract period.
