Our client, a leading South African online retailer is looking for a highly talented Analyst to join their team in Cape Town

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Statistical, Mathematical or Engineering discipline
• 5-8 years experience in analytical, planning, data science or other relevant roles
• Experience in Retail, FMCG or Manufacturing industries beneficial
Your responsibilities will include:
• Ownership of the Demand and Stock Planning capability
• Monthly Tactical Planning:
o Collaboratively develop monthly Department and Category level sales forecasts and stock plans
o Development and maintenance of Tactical Planning tools, using Excel and Google Sheets
• Weekly Operational Planning
o Produce sales forecasts of key products through configuration of forecasting models and manually forecasting exceptions
o Improving stock availability and cover of key products through configuration of assortment and replenishment levers
o Development and maintenance of standard reports and views in the Forecasting and Replenishment tools
• Identify improvement areas, design practical solutions and work with the relevant development teams to implement the changes
• User training and support of the Forecasting and Replenishment tools, including issues resolution of forecasting and order proposals
