Demonstration Sales Chef / Product Specialist – Johannesburg Gauteng

Well Known Catering Company in Johannesburg selling Catering Equipment is looking for a Well Experienced Sales Chef / Product Specialist to sell one of their Clients catering products, this Chef Sales Person will do demonstrations and Sell the equipment at the same time to prospective clients in the Gauteng Area. This position will suit a person with Chef and Sales Experience in the Catering Kitchen Equipment Industry.

Salary Market Related + Petrol and Cell Phone Allowance + Comm

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The applicant will be responsible for sales of catering products to food service equipment industry
• To meet or better sales targets as determined by the sales budget
• To provide customers with service excellence
• To maintain a routine calling schedule on existing clients and to develop new relationships
• To continually follow up on outstanding enquiries and quotations
• To invite customers to Clients premises for equipment demonstrations
• To follow the Clients Companies Sales Processes
• To submit pricing on alternative offers if this could make the quotation more competitive
• To ensure that customers pay their accounts timeously and that all account queries and disputes are settled promptly.

REQUIREMENTS
• An in-depth knowledge of food service equipment and the industry in general.
• Computer literacy. knowledge of Syspro, MS word, Excel
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in the industry as a chef
• Proven sales track record would be useful
• Good negotiating skills
• Must have Driver’s License and own car as you will be travelling
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
• Minimum qualification will be Matric or Grade 12 equivalent
• Chef back ground essential (30% requires live cooking demonstrations the other 70% is sales)
