Key Responsibilities for this Deputy Nursing Manager:

• Ensure hospital is providing safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with Clinical Governance strategy and evidence based practice
• Identify quality improvement opportunities and ensure appropriate strategy and quality improvement initiatives are developed and measured
• Evaluate the patient’s journey through patient experience and stakeholder input
• Effective management of the Nursing budget
• Understand the financial fundamentals of the organization
• Identify areas to improve operational efficiencies to ensure sustainability
• Evaluate nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
• Drive implementation of group quality initiatives
• Investigate all negative and moderate to severe incidents and ensure appropriate capturing on IMS

Requirements for this Deputy Nursing Manager:

• A relevant nursing qualification (Diploma in General Nursing/ B Cur Degree)
• Post grad Management/Administration qualification is advantageous
• Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
• At least 3 years’ experience in a private hospital setting in a management role
