Introduction
Our SA client whom has a global footprint who provides a specific Electrical solution within industries such as power, petrochemical, FMCG, Food & Beverage markets, Cosmetics, Bitumen and Renewable Energy industries requires the skills and expertise of a Design Engineer. Works closely with the day to day sales division in particular the Technical Sales Representative.

Key Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate / Matric
• Electrical Engineering qualification – Degree (Preferable) / B Tech or Diploma from a recognized University
• Minimum 5 years’ experience designing solutions
• 5 years’ experience in a senior role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other drawing/design software
• Experience in designing solutions per customer requirements
• Ability to do engineering calculations
• Ability to deal with Site staff members and then the next moment the ability to interact with Key stakeholder from a client perspective 
• Working with EPC companies will be a plus
• Working experience with SASOL, Eskom and EPC companies would be a plus 
• HO based position but will be required to travel to sites
• Low voltage and Medium voltage
• PLC Design and configuration
• Ability to present the solution in conjunction with the team to clients

Key Performance Area:

• Working closely with the Technical Sales Representative – design solutions as per customer requirements given by the Technical Sales Rep or the client 
• Prepare and design engineering drawings, PD&I diagrams and electrical wiring diagrams
• Design solutions per requirements for installers to install the solutions at clients
• Training
