Desktop Support Supervisor
Responsibilities

Manage the Technical team’s user support activities
Manage software/applications (programs) on all workstations (installation and deployment lifecycles)
Supervise and support the Technical team
Ensure effective liaison and communication with all stakeholders
Managing team of first Tier people

Must be an analytical and innovative thinker with good problem solving skills
A good command of English and Afrikaans (spoken and written)
Matric plus an MCITP or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a technician
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Extensive knowledge of setting up the relevant Operating Systems
In-depth knowledge of maintaining hardware and software of computers and printers
MCITP, A+ & N+ certification, Full Windows OS support skill from Win XP to Current Windows OS, Extensive hardware support/diagnostic capability for HP, Dell and Apple Mac. Extensive MFP, Laser, inkjet diagnostic & repair capabilities
Microsoft Office Suite support skills, extended diagnostic/fault resolution and administration skills in the entire suite including Office 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, Office for Mac (all versions) and Office365. Requirement also includes extensive support skill in the Outlook/Exchange mail client Environment
Mobile device support on Apple IOS (IOS Ver 4 – current), Android (all ver. to current)
Good functional understanding of the OS relating to diagnostics/resolving mail-client and configuration issues
Valid unendorsed driver’s license (Code 8 minimum)
Windows Mobile OS working knowledge (Win CE 5.0/6.0, Windows Phone 7 & 8)
Apple software support skills, Full Apple OS support skill including (but not limited to) application level to Parallels and VM Fusion virtual environment
Apple Mac and Macbook hardware support skills
Thermal printing and Barcode scanning equipment diagnostic skills
Valid unendorsed passport
