We are looking for someone to help support the tools and processes relating to the development, integration and test environments.
The role places emphasis on both maintaining and improving complex continuous integration and release processes as well as providing support to a large team of developers and testers in a complex, multi project environment.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
  • Support the adoption of Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Agile best practices, processes, and tools.
  • Design, implement and migration of build and release management processes to support development processes.
    • Perform system build and release when assistance is required – this is key to identifying areas for improvement.
    • Ensure the uptime, availability and proper performance of all components.
    • Some after-hours work will be required from time to time.
Minimum Requirements
  • ND:IT or Oracle certifications or equivalent work experience
  • 1+ years of experience in an enterprise IT or development function
  • 2+ years of administration experience with development tools, like build automation, continuous integration, code analysis tools, deployment scripting as well as application and infrastructure monitoring.
  • 1+ years of hands on experience in Linux based operating systems
  • Unix/Linux operating system (including Shell, Perl or Python or Ruby scripting).
  • Previous experience in release engineering and/or configuration management
  • Experience in a team situation that requires reporting into multiple reporting lines.
Additional advantageous skills:
  • Experience with Chef (or similar automated configuration and deployment tools)
  • Experience using deployment and scripting tools, such as Cargo, Thoughtworks Go, Jython scripting for IBM WebSphere or WLST for Oracle WebLogic.
  • Administration experience with Build Automation and Continuous Integration (CI) tools, such as BuildForge, Jenkins, Hudson or Bamboo.
  • Administration experience using Open Source build tools, such as Sonar, Emma, PMD, Clover and Checkstyle.
Skills and knowledge requirements
  • Understanding of various SDLC methodologies.
  • Knowledge (and interest) of open source build automation, continuous integration and code analysis and monitoring tools
  • Knowledge of automated deployment scripting, tools and techniques.
