Maxxor is looking for a determined result-driven and self-driven DevOps System Administrator that is passionate about IT

systems administor experience? Then we want your talents at Maxxor!

As a prospective DevOps System Administrator at Maxxor you are required to:

Manage and deploy software applications across a wide variety of software platforms.

Implement planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing cloud services and physical
hardware.

Expert-level Windows server administration skills: IIS

Expert-level Linux server administration skills: apache, bind, exim, git

Expert-level database administration skills: MS SQL Server and MySQL

Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform

Scripting skills

Knowledge of Internet technologies and protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, TCP/IP)

Bonus: experience with Visual Studio and software development using the Windows technology stack

Bonus: experience with continuous integration and deployment

Have an excellent understanding of business processes and principles

Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Escalate and communicate all system issues team timeously

Be self-motivated enough to complete tasks with minimal supervision

Have strong problem-solving skills and fault diagnosis skills

Have an analytical personality that pays attention to detail

As a DevOps System Administrator your role and responsibilities will be to:

Deliver exceptional systems admin skills that exceeds expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate
system solutions

Work comfortably in an agile software development environment

Provision and configure cloud services on the Azure cloud platform

Install and configure new virtual servers (both Windows and Linux)

Accelerate learning and growth through self development

Install and configure new physical servers when needed

Develop and implement high availability and disaster recovery procedures

Perform regular installations and maintenance of monitoring systems to uphold quality standards

Secure systems against attacks

Monitor applications for outages and performance degradation

Configure load balancing for high load applications

Troubleshoot and report failures to vendors / service providers and assist with resolution

Be involved in adhoc projects that are not limited to the technologies listed above.

Mentor team members (when needed)

Proactively contribute ideas for new system features and easily identify areas for improvement
