JOB PURPOSE
To design new electronic products or improve existing designs of said products through innovation and research of new and existing technologies, to provide a reliable, robust and customer-focussed blasting solution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
B.Eng (Electronics) / BSc Engineering (Electronics) or better
EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in C/C++ programming. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in database programming (SQL etc.). Experience with mobile application development (Android / iOS etc.).
Experience with the Qt application framework and the Linux operating system. Experience with software repository systems.

KEY FOCUS AREAS
Product design - Software design, architecture and document
- Establish compatibility with hardware platforms
Product prototyping - Complete functional software / firmware framework
- Integrate with hardware platforms
- Ensure strict revision control of software / firmware
Product industrialisation ¬- Facilitate software testing
- Complete electromagnetic compatibility and environmental
testing where necessary
- Document testing results
- Final software
Production of completed product - Create a software self-test function
- Produce software for testing jig
Customer service - Satisfy product related customer queries
Safety - Observe prescribed safe practices
