Responsible for planning and managing the activities of development projects in line with project deadlines and structured budgets, including:
• Management of the entire development process, including performance of, and interface with both the various Operational Departments and the Procurement Department within large hospitality group.
• Management and administration of the entire Professional Team, including all associated specialist consultants.
• Working with the Professional Team on obtaining confirmation of final project definition and final Project Costing and Budget (including the management of any project contingencies).
• Directs the activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, within budget.
• Establishes standards and procedures for project
• Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans.
• Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients informed of project status and related issues.
Education
• BSc Qualification (Quantity Surveying or Construction Studies) is preferred
• Alternatively BSc (Civil Engineering)
Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project management for large scale development
• Experience in managing development projects essential
• Experience building financial reporting models for various projects advantageous

Key Performance Areas:
Project Planning
• Planning of the entire development process, including performance of, and interface with both the various Operational Departments and the Procurement Department within large hospitality group.
• Working with the Professional Team on obtaining confirmation of final project definition and final Project Costing and Budget (including the management of any project contingencies).
• Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
• Determine the resources required to complete the project
• Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
• Review the project schedule with senior management and all other stakeholders that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
• Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
• Confirm the expected benefits and obtain authorisation before proceeding.
• Develop a detailed business case for a programme, if warranted.
• Develop a benefits realisation plan that will be managed throughout the programme to ensure that planned benefits always have owners and are achieved, sustained and optimised.
• Prepare and submit for in?principle approval the initial (conceptual) programme business case, providing essential decision?making information regarding purpose, contribution to business objectives, expected value created, time frames, etc.
• Preparation of the master project plan
• Establish and maintain a formal, approved integrated project plan to guide project execution and control throughout the life of the project.
