DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – LIQUID PETROLEUM

R50-60 000 per month + benefits and expenses+13th cheque+ performance bonus

Our client, a highly successful South African organisation provides a fully integrated property development and management service in the commercial, retail, industrial sector. These top producers are seeking a Development Manager to work within the commercial/liquid petroleum sector.
Full access to the top Project Management Teams and Senior Management will ensure that the exposure and support needed for this position to succeed will be guaranteed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• B.Sc or B.Tech Building Science
• 5 years’ experience in similar position
• Age Group: 30 – 38 years old
• Proven professional, technical and business development experience within the Property Development Sector.
• Extensive building and construction knowledge
• MS Projects, Excel
• Preference will be given to prior Filling Station Development applicants
• Must live within 30kms of Bryanston at time of application.
DUTIES:
• Facilitate new development opportunities in conjunction with the holding company
• Engage in business development by identifying and securing new development opportunities in existing filling station markets and finding niche markets and predict future trends
• Custodian of all agreements
• Board presentations to EXCO where necessary
• Full understanding of the land development process to drive business and secure large land development projects
• Project management of continual upgrades to existing structures
• Implementing strategies and structures
• Health and safety compliance in terms of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Construction Regulations within the Petro/Chemical industry
• Environmental compliance
• Approvals / Licences
• Building client relationships
• Develop & implement long term strategic objectives
• Overall accountability for the profitability of the business
• Monitor project implementation to ensure desired end product delivered to shareholders as per development plan
• Identifying obstructions to performance and implementing mitigating measures
• Attention to detail is a must!
• Excellent administration and communication skills
• Prepared to travel within Vaal Triangle
• Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
