This is an opportunity to tackle the exciting challenge of developing continuous integration within the Retail IT space.

The role would entail helping to set-up the technologies and structures required and offering Operations support.

Develop solutions encompassing technology, process, people and practice for:

Build and release management, infrastructure strategy and operations, business continuity and security
Provide technical leadership
Build the devops skillset in the business
Work in a small team using Scrum/Kanban for task management
Be a part of creating a new automation culture in the business

Qualifications

Fairly senior with at least 5-10 years' experience in either Systems Administration or Development
Has been part of Development or Operations teams before with an interest in DevOps or currently employed as a DevOps Engineer
Have strong UNIX/Linux background with cross-skilling in Windows being advantageous
Proficiency in more than one modern programming language such as JavaScript, Java, Scala, C#, C++, Python or Ruby
Have a strong background in scripting technologies: Ruby, Python or Bash
Have a background in OS configuration technologies: Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
