DevOps Lead


As a DevOps Lead, you will lead a development team to continuously deliver high quality software that pushes the boundaries of what we can achieve using mobile technology.
You will research and advise on the latest tooling, practices and organisational patterns that helps the client and their clients achieve their goals.

As a DevOps Lead, you…
• Lead the overall design and development of the technical solution on your project;
• Help our clients evolve their development practices and support the growth of their team. For example, applying practices like DevOps, Continuous Delivery and infrastructure-as-code;
• Help the client evolve our own development and delivery practices across all our teams, working with others in the engineering community of practice;
• Evaluate how different technologies, frameworks and languages can be used in order to deliver the best possible solution for both company and our clients.
• Work with our engineering leaders to help integrate new technologies and approaches into the work that we deliver on projects;
• Mentor and coach other engineers to improve their skills and plan their careers.
• Support the team in representing the company through their participation in talks, events and conferences.

Qualifications
• Must have a strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
• Must have proven experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
• Must have strong experience with at least one programming language: Perl, Shell, Bash, PHP, Python, C#, Java, C++
• Must have experience with development operations of continuous integration, automated testing, and automation of the dev process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong experience with relational databases / SQL queries as well as NoSQL databases a plus
• Experience in monitoring, metrics collection, and reporting using open source tools a plus
