Location: Johannesburg (Cape Town candidates would be considered)

Description: An international company who specialise in analytical and diagnostic equipment is seeking a Diagnostic Sales Account Manager to grow their customer base. The target customer base of centralised and hospital pathology laboratories is clustered in the main centres of population, and the demonstration laboratory is based in Gauteng, so the role will require regular travel between Johannesburg and Cape Town in particular. Key responsibilities include but is not limited to: sales, marketing strategies and customer support in South Africa and SACU region; prospect, develop and actively scout for new opportunities at existing and potential new accounts; maintain the existing customer base and revenue by actively following the needs of the customers and providing a long-term strategy; actively support the implementation of new products and technologies; responsible for ensuring the territory prospect pipeline is populated with a balance of short, mid and long term prospects sufficient for the continuous attainment of the short and long term targets; maintain accurate customer and prospect information utilizing approved information and database tools and technologies; build strong relationship with the customers, and keep and build relationships with all relevant stakeholders that can drive sales; provide product training to customers; provide high level information about products and techniques with the continuous aim of optimizing sales success; collaborate closely with all different departments and team members that can help to improve the customer experience.

Key Requirements: BTech/BSc in Life Sciences; professional experience in diagnostics sales to hospital pathology laboratories required; excellent verbal and written communication skills; valid Driver’s license and readiness to travel (approximately up to 50%).

Remuneration: Market related with benefits.
