Leading Diamond Mining Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Diamond Marketing Supervisor at their Harry Oppenheimer House in Kimberley in the Northern Cape Province.
Petra Diamonds is a leading independent diamond mining group and an increasingly important supplier of rough diamonds to the international market. The Company has interests in five producing mines: four in South Africa (Finsch, Cullinan, Koffiefontein and Kimberley Underground) and one in Tanzania (Williamson). It also maintains an exploration programme in Botswana.

Job Description:
Responsible to administrate the acceptance of diamonds and signing of brokers notes as well as sorting and preparing diamond sales mixtures. The position is based at Harry Oppenheimer House in Kimberley.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Allocate work flow and assist with the daily running of the office
Assist with production planning and departmental budgets
Responsible for the preparation of diamonds into sales mixtures (assortments) within the acceptable tolerances
Assist with diamond sorting in order to meet the required deadlines
Administrate all duties with reference to that of an Authorised Representative
Ensure employees adhere and comply with Security and SHE objectives, policies and procedures
Assist the diamond marketing team in assuring system / process efficiencies
Conduct general administrative tasks
Be flexible and available to work overtime, as required
Be able to travel as required
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
10 years’ plus experience in diamond sorting - essential
Experience in different diamond sorting disciplines, an advantage
Minimum of 2 years Supervisory experience
Computer Literate in MS Office Suite
Valid drivers’ license
Other Skills/Competencies:
Attention to detail
Good eyesight with three dimensional vision
Able to sit for long periods of time
Good communication skills
Trustworthy and assertive
Able to work under pressure
Able to lead and work within a team effectively
