Diesel Mechanic (AA)

Area: Kathu, Northern Cape

Package: R350 –R450K per annum depending on experience and qualification

Education Requirements
Grade 12 (Maths)
Olifantsfontein certificate Qualifications

Experience required
Previous experience Diesel mechanic with an EC license
2 to 3 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic working on trucks.
Computer literature

Purpose of the role:
To maintain and service the fleet vehicles and truck plants

Key Performance Areas
Ensure all sherq requirements are met
Conduct assessment before starting the breakdown or service
Ensure that all tasks necessary for breakdowns / services are carried out in accordance with Company procedures and Work instructions
Assess the breakdown before parts being drawn from stores
Ensures that the correct parts necessary to carry out the breakdown / service assignment are drawn from the stores
Open job card before start with breakdown or service.
Complete Job cards when finished with breakdown and or service
Ensures that the required inspections are made
Test drive vehicle
Ensures that the necessary administration and reporting are completed
Supervises the work of mechanical Assistants
Deals with unacceptable behaviour / performance
Escalates serious offences to Foreman
Allocates relevant housekeeping tasks to the mechanical assistant and ensures completion thereon.
Ensure that good housekeeping is maintained
