RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality
• Maintain professional workmanship standards at all times
• Strictly adhere to applicable Quality Assurance Processes & Procedures
Productivity
• Repair earthmoving equipment within specification and agreed repair times
• Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports
• Conduct troubleshooting, Fault Diagnosis and Maintenance of Earthmoving Equipment
• Perform machine inspections on Earthmoving Equipment and compile backlog lists
• Coordinate assistants to carried out first line of maintenance tasks
Safety & Working Practice
• Pro-actively support & participate in safety & work practice related initiatives
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with the applicable policy & prescriptions
General Responsibilities
• Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable at all times
• Managing & maintaining tooling in good, serviceable condition
• To work overtime when required, provided such requirement is reasonable and within the law

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
• Matric/N2
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Diesel Mechanic Red Seal/ Trade Test
• Driver’s License Code 14
• At least 5 years’ experience as a Diesel Fitter or Diesel Mechanic working on Earthmoving equipment; Computer Literate
• Certificate of Competency for class of machines working with
• MHA, OHS Act, Environmental Act , HIRA
