The Opportunity:

Clarion Events is currently undergoing the process of revamping their digital presence online across all business units globally. Clarion Events can trace its roots back to 1947 and takes great pride in being one of the oldest independent event organisers in the UK. More recently the firm has grown as a business and developed an international portfolio of brands and now has interests in a number of global vertical industries. The perfect candidate will have the opportunity transform the way the business uses analytical and behavioral data to increase insight and ROI across various events within the business.

The Candidate:

The Digital Analyst position will require a candidate who has previous experience in managing multiple account and campaign performances with the ability to influence and support campaign strategies and website development strategies. The candidate will have the ability to provide analytical and technical analysis on website analytics, campaign analytics and provide actionable data and insight to new client acquisition through multiple channels across the group.

Campaign strategy:

-Identifying client objectives and advising on suitable measurement strategies
-Benchmarking performance across all online channels and
-Development of KPI framework
-Ensuring relevant tracking is put in place
-Using methodical performance analysis to influence/support campaign strategies
-Define and implement search marketing strategies and activities

Reporting and analysis:

-Reporting on key metrics, analysing and interpreting trends and providing actionable insights based on available analytics data
-Analysing the effect of different online and offline channels on each other and developing and implementing innovative strategies for improvement and growth
-Analysing online user behaviour, conversion data and customer journeys, funnel analysis and multi-channel attribution
-Performing ROI analysis to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of different marketing campaigns
-Performing ad-hoc analytics and conversion optimisation consultancies for clients and influencing conversion optimisation strategies with solid analytical data

Analytical and technical:

-Providing consultancy on campaign tagging and additional on-site tracking
-Spotting potential to implement innovative new methodologies and improve analytical procedure
-Using available data sources to deep dive and troubleshoot campaign (and overall) performance issues and propose methodical optimisation tests, both on-site and campaign based

Communication:

-Proactively identifying and exploring opportunities to cross-sell services and support new client acquisition, with a continuous view of growing the various BU’s organic reach
-Collaborating with the design and development teams
-Collaborating with the search and social teams to enhance client reporting and performance measurement and conduct detailed analysis work when required
-Experience in working within a marketing/business intelligence environment

Requirements:

-Minimum of four years' proven experience in a data-focused role (data analytics, data planning, campaign management and evaluation)
-Proven internal and external stakeholder management skills
-Good knowledge of and experience in working with a wide range of data analytics tools (e.g. CRM, digital analytics, social media listening, data visualisation)
-Must have experience in working with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and Wave Analytics experience would also assist
-High level of experience in data analysis techniques, as well as excellent knowledge of data sources (internal/external data, data enrichment)
-Strong proficiency for producing reports and presentations
-Highly numerical and analytical mindset
-Attention to detail
-Confidence in presenting
-A passion for data and using data to inform strategic planning
