DIGITAL LEARNING DESIGNER

We need you…
We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to help us deliver world-class service and sector-leading digital products to our portfolio of global clients. We are a rapidly growing, international (Cape Town, London, Boston, Salt Lake City) digital education organisation passionate about delivering the highest quality solutions to government, corporate, higher education and consumer markets.

You will work closely with the Digital Learning Strategist on multiple client and in-house projects and be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality course content. You should have a passion for great learning!

To do!
You will be mentored by the digital learning strategist to understand best practice in learning design, according to Proversity’s design principles set by CLO (Chief Learning Officer).
Manage day-to-day and face-to-face transactions with the client and project team to translate a project brief into a course outline and then a detailed storyboard which supports an effective and efficient digital course building process. This entails:
Reviewing course documentation - e.g. discovery phase notes, post-discovery phase design brief - familiarising yourself with the broader context of the course
Working with the project manager to create and review content request documents for the client
Ensuring the client delivers the content request documents on time
Translating client content into digital course content, according to design principles
Populating the Course Atlas or Storyboard and finalising video scripts, according to Proversity’s learning and visual design principles
Creating a graphics guide, according to Proversity’s design principles and process
Adding assets to the atlas (e.g. graphics, video information)
For any of your projects that require Storyline, you would use the software to develop the course with the storyboard as your guide. This course authoring process would include:
Educating clients and colleagues on how to utilise the full potential of the platform’s interface and capabilities to deliver learning programmes
Collaborating and communicating effectively with other team members to build courses that are in line with best practices and functionally sound
Support the project team to run the course through the QA process, as required. E.g. mapping the design to Proveristy’s quality standards for learning and visual design



You’ll need to be good at...

Course authoring (specifically using Storyline)
High level of written English
Getting quickly up to speed with subject matter content
Communication skills (internal and external communications)
Attention to detail
Client management
Organisation - monitoring progress and meeting deadlines
Thriving in an ambiguous environment
Course Design, including an understanding of learning design principles, methodologies, and industry trends

Graduate of English and/or Education with undergraduate level English writing skills
Some experience with learning design and course authoring
