Our client is searching for a Digital Manager for the African continent consisting of key markets such as South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco and Algeria. The successful candidate will be required to lead the digital strategy and execution. The role will include guiding all the markets to conceptualize and direct the creation and development of digital content for all initiatives.

Key Focus Areas:
• Oversee the overall strategic plan and execution details
• Ensure connection and alignment with internal stakeholders including Brand Marketing, Retail, Commerce, PR and Marketing
• Work closely with key creative, media and digital agencies to develop and execute seasonal plans
• Lead people, budget management, creative planning process, and act as the digital expert within the integrated marketing team and broader business
• Lead and guide the countries to bring the highest standards of innovative digital technology and design to and other digital properties
• Manage the creative process from concept to launch for categorical digital communications projects
• Contribute to concept evaluation and ensure executive level excellence and innovative approach of final creative product
• Lead the short term and long term digital vision the African continent and for all brand initiatives and integration with an Ecommerce strategy
• Search for new, industry-specific opportunities within the creative and technical aspects of digital, mobile, internet and Ecommerce development
• Drive the creation of digital content and marketing plans from strategy to execution
• Review and direct design, functionality, user interface and navigational elements of digital productions to ensure quality and design standards, as well as consistency across category strategies, goals and missions
• Track, analyze and report back on site results
• Be responsible to support countries to structure and review the seasonal digital plans in support of the brand concept map, including the execution phase and the recaps

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or a related field
• 5 years’ experience in digital marketing
• Experience in Social Media and understanding of ecommerce
• Understand the competitive market, media, and retail trends
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
• Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to motivate and mentor others within a work group
• Ability to lead initiatives and project teams
• Ability to balance creativity with organization and discipline in fast moving, ambiguous environment
• Ability to exercise high degree of professionalism, always act with integrity
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with management and external partners
• Ability to juggle a myriad of competing projects, prioritize appropriately, and meet deadlines.
• Comfort with being on call and working some non-traditional hours and weekends

Salary: Market related
