Digital Marketing Manager – Woodmead
Salary R25 – 35 k per month neg
Support the Marketing / Acquisition team with the account management and development of key digital marketing channels - new and emerging, and the creation, implementation and reporting of customer marketing campaigns. The role needs someone who can demonstrate experience of developing online customer propositions and improving ROI from acquisition marketing campaigns. Your experience of managing a variety of resources and budgets will be put to good use, as will your excellent analytical and marketing web analytics skills.
You should be a hands-on Digital Marketing Manager with extensive experience across all online marketing channels but specifically PPC, SEO, email & eCRM, Affiliates and Social media. The successful Digital Marketing Manager will demonstrate a proven track record of successfully driving increased traffic to a website and retaining existing customers and be used to handling budgets and digital agencies. An effective and influential communicator the successful Digital Marketing Manager will be comfortable liaising with senior management and reporting on performance.
The Digital Marketing Manager will:
• Develop the marketing and retention strategy to successfully attract and retain online
customers
• Implement our online marketing and retention strategy, working with internal teams to
successfully delivery key activities
• Conduct review of existing processes and propose strategic changes to increase customer
marketing, return on ad spend, conversion, basket value and customer retention
• Establish a segmented approach to email marketing that improves customer engagement,
and effectively targets each segment to increase sales
• Deliver an effective email marketing strategy that will drive increased visits to the website,
build awareness of new services and propositions and encourage multichannel participation
• Review and refine our email welcome programme so that it promotes key and targeted
messages to our customers
• Ensure the Affiliate programme is optimized, reviewing and negotiating improved terms with
suppliers
• Review current social media activity with a view to driving engagement with customers
• Review online marketing trends with a ‘test and learn’ approach towards the latest
technology/applications/media opportunities

Characteristics:

• Good understanding of ecommerce and e-tail/retail mechanics and levers such as key traffic
drivers, online merchandizing, conversion points, customer journey and yield management
• High calibre strategy & analytics, data driven with good understanding of ROI measurement
and optimization, and online analytics tools
• Proven results driven individual with good business acumen and strong achievement records
• Commercially driven with excellent interpersonal and partner facing/management skills
• Ability to gain useful insights from large volumes of data
• Strong project management, operational and coordination skills
• Intense customer focus
• Proactive and goal-oriented; good at juggling multiple priorities and time management
• Personal fit: high energy, sense of humour, friendly/outgoing, team player
