Digital Media Specialist

Location: Rondebosch, Cape Town
Salary: R22k – R25k per month

About the Role:
Oversee online Marketing presence. Develop, plan and manage digital media initiatives, including website, social media, digital mailers, promotions and projects as well as Cause Related Marketing initiatives to meet the key objectives of the Healthcare Trust including income generation, donor acquisition, fundraising support and online brand awareness.

Requirements:
Relevant Tertiary Qualification
Minimum of 5 years marketing/digital marketing experience
Sound knowledge of Web Analytics tools (eg. Google Analytics, MailChimp)
Strong Analytical skills
Experience with new media, web CMS and online management
Good media relationships
Strong understanding of newsworthiness and editorial templates
Conversion of information into creative/ written concepts
Project management skills
Microsoft Office, internet, e-mail, MS Project
Solid knowledge of website analytics tools

Duties:
Digital Marketing Strategy
Devising marketing strategies to drive online traffic to the company website.
Plan and execute all web, SEO, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.
Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns.
Managing online brand and project/special days campaigns to raise brand awareness.
Responsibility for planning and budgetary control of all digital marketing.
Identify trends and new technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
Implement digital newsletters and strategic mailers to donors.
Manage and implement strategic SMS communications with donors.
Foster relationships with suppliers and network for pro-bono digital advertising opportunities.
Social Media
Overseeing the social media content strategy on all Trust social media platforms.
Liaising with 3rd parties, parents, patients and Hospital staff to generate this content and ensuring all consent is obtained.
Resolve Social media queries and comments/complaints.
Website Maintenance
Collaborate with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
Tracking conversion rates and reporting on website statistics.
Making improvements to the usability, design and content of the website.
Development and maintenance of the website and content within it.
Resolve or delegate all website queries.
Corporate team Contribution
Initiate and manage partnerships with corporates for Cause Related Marketing campaigns to generate brand awareness and income.
Assist in securing sponsorship, Gift in Kind and Give as you Earn donations as part of the corporate team.
Assist in formulating a strategic plan for acquiring and retaining corporates each year.
