We are now in search of a Direct Travel Consultant for this Exclusive World Renowned Tour Operator based in Sandton.Our ideal candidate would be a creative, independent, dynamic, enthusiastic, service driven team player.KEY OUTPUTS:Calm and professional interaction with both suppliers and travel planners, telephonically & via emailCreative and out of the box planning and designing of itinerariesHandling reservation requests either email or telephonicProcessing of reservations from quote to finalising, including reservations, invoicing and travel documentsProfessional servicing of our dynamic direct guestsProactive selling of our products and services ensuring the best possible safari for the guestSaturday duty and cell phone duty on a rotation basisPublic holiday duty and cell phone duty on a rotation basisBackup for colleagues when they are away from the officeExpanding product knowledge through attending training sessionsAn independent, curious and “can do it” natureKNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:A good knowledge on the following destinations – Tanzania, Kenya, Zanzibar, Zambia, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Mozambique, Rwanda, Uganda, SeychellesA good knowledge on FIT and Groups policies and proceduresCommunication skills and a good command of the English languageSKILLS REQUIRED:Time & desk managementComputer aptitudeFunctionally competency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and OutlookUnderstanding of travel industryAttention to detailElaborating in writing explanations or descriptionsWorking in an orderly mannerExceptionally customer focused Ability to accept routine and mundane tasksCreativeness, flexibility, high energy and patienceEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Must have at least 3 years reservation experience preferably in a tour operating environmentIf this sounds like a challenge you are ready for in your career, you have the necessary skills, experience required, you are ambitious, driven to excel and passionate about delivering excellent product ideas we would love to hear from you.
