3 year Contract (Renewable)
• Single and family contracts available.
• Generous Tax free basic salary. 15 000 - 27 875 Qatari Riyals per month. 27 875 QR is +/- 5970 GBP / 6700 EUR / 7600 USD. Salary paid in QR.
• Free fully furnished accommodation provided.
• Transport allowance of 1250 QAR per month added to your basic salary.
• Free "round trip" (to and from home country) flight tickets on joining, annual leave, and on repatriation. For those with family contract offered this will be also be applicable for your family (wife and up to 3 children up to 18 years old).
• School allowance: 21 000 QAR (maximum) for up to 3 children (ages 5- 18) per child per academic year provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha.
• 40 days paid annual vacation days.
• End of Service Award (at end of contract) which is one month's salary for each year worked.

Arabic speaking Jordanian Males.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in informatics or Bachelor’s degree in any healthcare discipline, and additional post graduate qualifications in a clinical informatics related area.

EXPERIENCE:
8 years in clinical imaging informatics experience with at least 2 years at a similar level. Must have experience with the planning, implementation, and management of clinical imaging informatics systems in a tertiary hospital and/or academic healthcare environment.

Job Specification
Position Summary:
The Director of Clinical Informatics is responsible for the service development and effective day to day management of all information technology in clinical imaging.

The Director of Clinical Imaging leads the operational, fiscal and human resource management of all clinical imaging systems and acts as the lead for digital imaging initiatives. The incumbent prepares the annual strategic business plan for the implementation and sustainment of all digital imaging and related systems at HMC. Information technology in the clinical imaging department includes but is not limited to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Radiology Information System (RIS), voice recognition, breast services content management system, and related desktop applications.


Accountabilities:
• Supports the Assistant Executive Director of Clinical Imaging in delivering the business plan by monitoring clinical imaging’s information systems’ performance, and taking corrective action where necessary
• Acts as the central management lead for projects and/or programs for clinical imaging information systems where required
• Ensure that all clinical imaging information system operations are compliant with prescribed
• departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and strategic values
• Supervise and coordinate activities of direct subordinates
• Consolidate and submit performance reports to Management
• Perform other duties as assign.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Day to day operational management
• Oversee and coordinate strategic and operational planning for digital imaging initiatives and support services
• Manage the day to day functioning of clinical imaging I.T. systems ensuring that applications are set up to meet the requirements of all users
• Provide advice to clinical imaging staff on the best use of the clinical imaging information systems and ensure that all staff receive appropriate training on the use of the systems
• Ensure that the clinical imaging applications are set up and used in a manner which enables integration or data exchange with other information systems as required
• Investigate any operational problems within the clinical imaging I.T. service areas and identify, prepare and implement proposals of corrective action
• Ensure any data quality issues are resolved efficiently to prevent clinical risk of incorrect data being acted upon
• Responsible for an effective and comprehensive fault logging and reporting system in respect of clinical imaging information systems in conjunction with the HIS department
• Responsible for the management of an effective security environment within clinical imaging applications
• Act as the senior liaison between clinical imaging and other departments related to medical imaging initiatives and procedures
• Ensure the provision of a range of data extracts from the clinical imaging systems as requested. Analyze highly complex data to design and present performance reports for both operational and audit purposes
• Act as the key coordinator within clinical imaging for the resolution of data quality or operating procedures in respect of clinical imaging applications
• Write, prepare and review any standard operating procedures relating to clinical imaging information systems.

Service Development:
• Regularly review the efficiency and effectiveness of the PACS, RIS and Voice Recognition systems and identify both present and future needs in order to develop and implement service improvement initiatives. Work closely with Clinical Imaging management and the clinical leadership to identify future needs and to design efficient workflow processes for all systems
• Recommend I.T. programs that will enhance the clinical imaging department’s ability to provide consistently excellent and thorough patient care
• Work with third party suppliers to help design, develop or amend highly complex software to meet the needs of the Employer.

Financial and Resource Management:
• Oversee activities of vendors in all phases of installation and implementation of new systems or system upgrades
• Oversee stock monitoring and ensure that equipment is maintained and used in a safe and proper manner.

Leadership and Human Resource Management:
• Provide leadership and line manage direct reports
• Define and agree clear objectives for each direct report to ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities within the service, and measure their performance against these objectives as part of the appraisal process
• Regularly appraise direct reports performance, and coach them as appropriate to maximize their performance
• Facilitate the professional development of direct reports, and identify any training and development needs and the associated suitable development opportunity in liaison with the HR Business Partner
• Foster and encourage a learning culture environment
• Work with the HR Business Partner to contribute to workforce plans which ensure that the clinical imaging information section is adequately resourced with appropriately trained staff at all times through recruitment, talent management, and succession planning practices
• Effectively induct new direct reports into the department in accordance with the Employer policies.
