Our client is looking for a disable dynamic presentable candidate with a vibrant personality, however the candidate must be able to manage due to the fact that they would be working at various client premises where we can’t guarantee that they will be adequately accommodated.
Qualifications & Experience:

• CA (SA)
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years credible and applicable post articles experience in the audit field.
• 3 years’ experience at managerial level
• Experience in managing large audit teams
• Experience in managing complex and sizeable clients/projects (e.g. public listed companies)
• Experience in auditing Telecoms/Banking/Treasury/Aviation clients will be an added advantage

Project Management Responsibilities:
• Manage audit engagements in your portfolio by defining the audit strategy with the engagement partner and executing it in compliance with policies and protocols
• Lead the execution of the audit projects in your portfolio from resource allocations, managing team deliverables and timelines and managing client expectations.
• Assign teams that will meet and exceed the clients' expectations in standards of service and client care.
• Effectively manage the Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues and accounting technical matters.
• Manage the delivery of components auditors (if in a Group situation), specialists or other experts such as IT Auditors.
• Manage risk of delivery on client engagements by constantly reviewing and ensuring that teams are on track
• Ensure the technical correctness, quality and editorial aspects of all client deliverables.
• Independently identify, classify and provide technical opinion of all technical issues arising from the audit and liaise with the technical department and the client.
• Ensure that the engagement partner is informed about key audit or accounting or any client related issues arising on a timely basis
• Proactively report on the progress and deliverables of the audit to the audit partner.
• Independently solve complex or contentious issues and escalate if necessary
• Take on non-client responsibilities and build valued relationships with the clients and peers.
• Ensuring the quality aspect of the audit file is at the highest level

Financial responsibilities:

• Manage your audit assignments in an efficient manner, minimising the level of overruns, debtors and work in progress, and maximising fee opportunities.
• Approve engagement budgets and negogotiate or agree fees, where appropriate.
• Ensure that billing is done and assist with collection of payments.
• Communicate significant issues relating to fees and estimates timeously to the partner and clients.
• Identify new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships through networking, preparation of proposals and tenders or walking client corridors.
• Actively identify value adding opportunities to better serve clients


Client Responsibilities:

• Engage with any level of client staff up to C-Suite level
• Demonstrate professionalism and competence in all interactions with the client
• Take ownership of client engagement activities such as scheduling meetings with the client, audit committee, preparing agendas, following up on matters arising, etc.
• Present at various client meetings including the audit and risk committees
• Assist partners with generating new business opportunities and building client networks and relationships.
• Understand the firm’s service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients.
• Build strong and long term relationships with key client sponsors
• Deliver value to the client by providing knowledge, ideas and solutions for improving their business
• Anticipate client needs, address issues without unnecessary recourse to others
• Give an accurate assessment of current issues and their impact to the clients business as well as future opportunities to the client and partner by keeping up to date with industry developments
• Demonstrate an application and solution-based approach to problem solving such that you are referred to, and or consulted for research on delivery of solutions on client assignments

People Responsibilities:

• Develop people through effective supervising, coaching and mentoring
• Build, manage and motivate high performing teams and help build sustainable competencies amongst key staff.
• Ensure that teams understand and comply with Quality Assurance guidelines
• Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback
