Dispatch Supervisor

Key duties include (but are not limited to):

• Supervising, coordinating & providing leadership to the Dispatch and collections department.
• He/she will maintain an awareness of the daily operational needs including planning and scheduling of the
department functions), shifting priorities as necessary and ensure that the department functions efficiently and effectively.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes, such as customer sales,
order management, accounting and shipping.
• Promote excellent customer service orientation within the team and across the department.
• Monitor customer experience and service delivery statistics and improve where possible.
• Monitor and improve picking, packing and distribution statistics
• Ensure all orders are loaded into the correct couriers and dispatched on time.
• Conduct regular employee coaching in order to improve quality of service delivery.
• Take appropriate action when quality standards are not met or upheld.
• Manage internal housekeeping for the department.
• Ensure all paperwork is accurate and recorded correctly.
• Ensure all orders are completed and systems updated accordingly.
• Provide dispatch and collection based information for meetings.
• Ensure all records, electronic and paper, are being maintained and recorded correctly.
• Regularly check outstanding order report to ensure that all orders placed are delivered within the time frame
or date requested.
• Assist with the day to day management of the Dispatch & collections team, including leave management, daily time
and attendance, and discipline within the department.

Requirements, skills and Attributes:
?
• Tertiary Qualification in warehouse/logistics
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a customer facing position.
• At least 3 - 5 years supervisory experience or proof of consistent career advancement to qualify for advancement
to a Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of routing/logistics to meet the daily goals set by management and
the expectations of the customer.
• Excellent computer skills
• Lead by example with the ability to initiate and maintain a positive working relationship with all employees
• Ability to motivate employees to meet departmental goals and ensure employee productivity.
