DISPENSING OPTICIAN

A professional and successful optometry practice, based in Klerksdorp, has a vacancy for a dispensing optician.
Experience
At least five years’ experience within the discipline of dispensing optometry and or functioning in an administrative position within an optometry environment
Formal qualifications
Matric qualification or equivalent
Any further education and training in this field will be advantageous
Responsibilities
• Administrative tasks and liaison with patients
• Giving advice to patients on lens type, frames and styling
• Assisting with the adjustments or repairs to spectacles
• Selecting and ordering a range of optical products
• Knowledge of electronic systems and programmes
• Arranging and maintaining shop display
