Distribution Controller
Warehousing | Transport | Logistics

Control and supervise all dispatch operations in an efficient and competent manner. Daily coordination of transportation, stick control and distribution of stock products. Effective utilization of staff and resources within the dispatch department and adherence to safety and legal compliance.

Responsibilities

Stock control and product management
Manage staff within the department, this includes training and performance management, motivation and allocation of resources
Reporting on work procedures, job descriptions, key result areas and any other relevant requirements
Daily inspection of all areas
Management of stock (loaded and delivered), vehicles (maintenance, checks)
Compliance with processes and procedures as well as regulatory legislation
Manage routing, tracking and schedules (projections and adherence)
Paperwork and administration in order, up to date and correct
Security and monitoring
Customer liaison

Requirements

Matric / Grade 12
3 years of experience within a distribution environment
Risk assessment and security awareness
PC literacy (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Understanding of South African transportation law
