Our client, a food production company in the North of Pretoria, is looking to employ a diligent, suitably qualified and experienced Distribution Manager to run distribution and fleet in the company.

Minimum requirements:
• Matric
• Solid fleet management experience
• Tertiary qualification in warehousing/logistics will be an advantage
• Tertiary qualification in business management will be an advantage
• A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a management position in a warehousing/distribution environment
• A minimum of 10 years total working experience

The mandate of the position is to develop, implement and maintain systems and procedures aimed at continuously improving output, standards, quality, costs and utilisation of resources within the transport and distribution area of expertise and measure performance and progress in respect of these issues on a regular basis, to render a cost effective distribution and vehicle maintenance service at the lowest cost per litre and to ensure that the product is available to customers timeously and at required quantities.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing and maintaining systems and procedures
• Manpower
• Stock Management
• Deliveries
• Communication to all involved departments
• Documentation and administration

Candidates need to show evidence of the following:

Salary is R300 000 CTC per annum negotiable on experience and includes medical aid and provident fund.
