DIVISIONAL FEED MILL MANAGER, PRETORIA NORTH, RNEG+ PROVIDENT FUND + BONUS
• Grade 12 + DEGREE in Operations/ Feed Production
• 10 years exp in Management of Feed Mill ( Chicken)
• Min 6 years exp as Operations Head ( Feed Production Sector)
• Sound understanding of Raw Material Market and related procurement systems
• Strong general management and leadership skills
• Sound Business acumen
The Divisional Manager is ultimately responsible and accountable for all Business Units (Five (5) Feed Mills), ensuring that feed is produced at optimal cost, on schedule and within acceptable service and quality criteria, thereby enhancing the long terms financial viability of the Division. The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the GROUP
The position of Divisional Manager: Feed Mills is responsible for:

• Design, develop and obtain approval of the Division’s strategic and business plans, ensuring that
such plans are aligned with the Group’s goals and objectives.
Lead the Division to execute and achieve the required goals and objectives set in terms of the
• strategic, business and financial plans.
o Assign to the respective business units, specific goals and targets and continually measure and review performance being made towards achieving such, taking appropriate action where necessary.
o Organize the necessary input, structure and resources for delivering on the Division’s agreed goals and outputs.
o Oversee planning and implementation of production plans throughout the value chain; coordinating and driving production according to quality and quantity specifications as well as set operational standards and within budgeted cost objectives.
o Remain abreast of developments in the business, industry, market, economy and prepare the Division to meet any challenges or take advantage of opportunities which might become available.
• Ensure that financial performance and profit are maximized.
• Ensure that all CLIENT policies, procedures and standards are implemented and consistently
adhered to within the Division.
• Implement a comprehensive customer handling and satisfaction programme throughout the
Division, focusing on and providing excellent customer service, and monitor the execution thereof
and results being achieved.
• Actively seek out viable opportunities to grow and expand the business of the Division, based on
proper risk and due diligence assessments.
• Oversee and monitor all day-to-day operations and logistics of all business units within the Division
ensuring that operations run smoothly, to standard, and feed quality assurance practices are
consistently maintained.
o To continually seek new and innovative methods, systems, techniques, and procedures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of operations, and achievement of best practice.
o Oversee and ensure exceptional housekeeping, maintenance of facilities and equipment, at all operational sites, at all times.
o Establish, implement and monitor an effective preventative maintenance programme across all Business Units, and actively track costs and downtime.
o In conjunction with the Business Units, develop and revise standard operational and working practices and ensure compliance with such standards.
o Ensure adequate security measures are in place at all Business Units to protect company property, supplies/product, employees, customers and clients.
• Ensure compliance within the Division of all Quality Management Standards, Bio-Security
Standards, and Industry based legislative regulations, codes and standards.
