TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Attend to machinery breakdowns, provide assistance with fault diagnosis and perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Assist with dismantling, removal and re-assembling of SLC machine engine parts
• Inspect materials, products or equipment for defects and report accordingly
• Navigate, operate and perform tramming activities on SLC machinery
• Design, install and maintain cameras, fibre networks and underground Wi Fi networks
• Install and commission Draw Control equipment and automation systems on TMM’s
• Maintain TMM on-board and CAN-bus systems
• Maintain SLC Automation server hardware and software
• Declare working place safe as per standard operating procedure
• Liaise with Mining personnel on daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and Company’s SHE objectives
• Work overtime, standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Qualified Artisan in any of the following: Electrical, Mechanical or Auto-Electrical with a Trade Test through a recognized /accredited institution
• Minimum of three (3) years’ post Trade Test qualification experience working on TMM related automation equipment – please indicate clearly on your CV
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Valid driver’s licence
NB – Candidates holding a QCTO (Section 26D) Trade Test, where the learning route is not specified on the Certificate, must submit the following:
• Statement of results issued by an accredited MQA trade test centre as well as evidence of training conducted at a technical training centre (e.g. Portfolio of Evidence, Logbooks)

OTHER SKILLS / COMPETENCIES:
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Technical knowledge of mining operations
• Analytical thinking and interpretation of information, planning, coordinating and prioritizing
• Applicable legal knowledge and understanding
• Decision making ability in a fast changing environment
