A Managed Healthcare Company based in Sandton has a vacancy for a DUR Pharmacist.
The DUR Pharmacist manages the financial and clinical risk of contracted medical scheme implementing the policies, protocols and formularies for reimbursement for medicines. The DUR Pharmacist will implement Medicine Management through the performance of Drug Utilisation Reviews and intervenes with providers for cost effective therapies where appropriate.
Review applications for medicine benefits of a medical scheme for eligibility to the specific medicine benefit. The DUR pharmacist must assess whether the diagnosis is eligible for re-imbursement according to the Scheme’s rules.

Experience and Qualifications
BPharm Degree
Must be registered with the SAPC
Experience in DUR or Medical Scheme environment will be an advantage

Salary negotiable depending on exp and skills.
Working hours Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
