Dry Goods Manager

Our client a major FMCG manufacturer based in Springs is urgently looking for a Dry Goods Manager who has Minimum a National Diploma in Logistics/ Warehouse Management or Equivalent with 2-3 years Warehouse Management experience preferably in the FMCG Environment

The successful applicant will be reporting to the Materials Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure cost effective warehouse management and goods issuing to Production.
• Availability of dry goods stock items to ensure continuous production of products as per production plan.
• Compiling the department operational budget and manage expenses accordingly.
• Ensure compliance to warehouse policies and procedures at all times.
• Limit stock variances and waste on dry goods stock items.
• Effectively liaise with Production Planning and Production.
• Perform Administration/Reporting duties as per Corporate Secondary Production procedures effectively.
• Ensure warehouse complies with QC and risk management standards.
• Effective utilisation of contracted transport and forklifts.
• Effective management of subordinates.
• Applying leadership skills to ensure competent and motivated staff.
• Facilitate the Minibusiness Operational Standards meeting (MDWT)

Qualifications:

• National Diploma in Logistics/Warehouse Management or equivalent qualification.
• 2 – 3 years warehouse management experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
• Displayed computer literacy in Ms Office at an intermediate level of competence.
• Knowledge of and administration on SAP would be advantageous.
• Display and apply knowledge of all packaging and warehouse management principles
• Ability to manage the stock control process through procedure and process adherence.
• Display and apply knowledge of all stock control management principles.
• Ability to manage a warehouse through space utilization, effective delivery and human resource utilisation.
• Ability to apply the correct methods for the creation and maintenance of data management and the cross functional environment.
• Ability to coordinate the activities of direct subordinates towards goal achievement.
• Ability to provide the correct motivational techniques with different individuals.
• Ability to fully utilise appropriate leadership styles and develop individual capabilities.
• Ability to perform under pressure.
• A self-driven motivated person.
