Dry Store Manager– Food FMCG, Northern Suburbs, Cape Town

Well established Food FMCG Manufacturing Company is looking for a Dry Store Manager with 3-5 years’ experience with in the FMCG Food Industry.

Salary Market Related (CTC includes Medical Aid and Pension)

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric, with a Food / Stores / Logistics related qualification. – ADDED ADVANTAGE
• 3 - 5 years’ experience within FMCG / Logistics / related industry.
• Dry Store management experience in FOOD FMCG Industry.
• Experience of FMCG manufacturing – high volume food manufacturing with packaging, spices, labels.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, Health and Safety requirements in food manufacturing and HR procedures.
• Knowledge of Lead Times, Stock Management, ERP systems.
• Understanding of quality assurance, procedures and protocols.
• Valid Driver’s License

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure availability to execute production plans through the Dry Store despatch requirements in line with KPI’s and specifications.
• The overriding objective is to drive / support performance and maximise line outputs that deliver KPI requirements
• Full accountability for planning material requirements including packaging/batch-packs/casings, purchasing materials, monitoring delivery and storage of materials – Release and issue of material to production.
• Sourcing and purchasing materials for trials
• Daily compliance with Order Level requirements
• Deliver product quality standards through timeous release of correct stock including batch-packs, packaging, and labels
• Communicating, Record keeping and Monitoring the purchase / order quantities / stock holding quantities to agreed levels.
• Communicate values of raw materials and packaging discontinued lines to seek alternative use when possible
• Monitor, record and communicate the daily / weekly product age and risk or shorts information
