We are now in search for a Duty Manager/ Front of House Manager for this World Class Award Winning Boutique Hotel in the Winelands.To be the main point of contact to our Guests in House. The Duty Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Concierge Desk and Guest Relations Liaisons, ensuring they create a positive first impression and provide superior levels of guest service that meet our World Class International Standards.It is essential that the Duty Manager works with integrity to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of our guests.Main Duties ·To effectively manage the Guest Liaison and Concierge team delegation and co-ordination with estate management in addition to carrying out all regular concierge duties.·To set the tone of excellent service levels for the front of house team through example.·To liaise between the Operations Manager, General Manager and Guests ensuring that the requirements of all parties are met in the operation of the property and services.·Ensure that any defects / problems are reported to the General Manager without any delays.·To proactively know when and how to suggest extra services to Guests and encourage other Front of House staff and doormen to follow suit.·To perform your duties and provide concierge services, in the prescribed manner, as instructed by the Operations Manager or General Manager.·To inspect, on a daily basis, all internal areas of the reception and ground floor service areas and report any defects, security or health and safety concerns to the General Manager. The successful candidate should have an enquiring mind, be methodical, pay attention to detail, be creative, show perseverance and patience, ability to work under pressure, ability to accept routine and mundane tasks, have high energy level, be flexible, have the ability to overcome obstacles and persist with the task at hand, be decisive and adaptable.
