Key responsibilities include:Take full responsibility for the running of the Housekeeping Division including the following:Housekeeping & Rooms Division:To maintain high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail in guest accommodation – expect what you inspect – guest’s rooms to be checked dailyTo maintain high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail in all guest areasMaintenance service requirements are recorded and reported immediately to the Maintenance AssistantPest ControlLaundry:To supervise and control the laundry operation in accordance with established methodsEnsure the guest laundry is collected, washed carefully and returnedDaily Lodge laundryDaily staff laundryHousekeeping Budget, Purchasing & Control:Control housekeeping expenditurePurchasing and price control to enable stock counts to be calculated at current pricesMonitor stock control systems of linen, guests amenities and cleaning materialsMonthly stocktake of housekeeping consumables and linenPrice updates, GRV’s and Budget controlManagement of the Housekeeping Team. Inspire, stimulate and lead the teamDevelop your teams and individualsEnsure the right people are in the right positionsEnsure your team is guest focusedRecognise great guest feedback and deal with negative guest feedback constructivelyAll staff to be trained in their areas of responsibility and to attend regular training workshopsManage PerformanceManage the team’s leave cycleOtherActing Lodge Manager in the absence of the Lodge Manager or Assistant Lodge ManagerAssisting at Front of House during guests arrivals or departures or Lodge Site Inspections – Show TimeHosting of Guest Qualifications and experience required:• Minimum 2 -3 years Management experience in a 5 star boutique operation or Big 5 reserve with in a similar lodge environment• Hospitality and Service training experience • Room Division or Front of House ExperienceSalary & other package details:• Monthly package- negotiable depending on experience and qualifications• Live-in position with meals on duty• 2 Bed Room Apartment• Pension fund• Staff Lodge Nights • Work cycle – 21 days – 7 days off• Annual leave – 15 daysPlease email CV in word format, 3 written references, good head and shoulder photo and qualifications.
